It seems like Warner Bros. has changed the original plans they had for the DCEU.

This week The Hollywood Reporter stated that Patty Jenkins had not signed up to direct Wonder Woman’s sequel and that, in addition to recruiting Jenkins once more, Warner has plans to start production of Justice League Dark and Batgirl after Aquaman wraps filming.

As of this moment, Aquaman is set to be the only film of the DCEU to hit theatres in 2018, although the original plans Warner had included the Flash movie the same year. Unfortunately, after losing 2 directors in the past year, the future of Ezra Miller’s Flash hangs in the air.

The original schedule Warner had for the DCEU is starting to be reconsidered, following the results Suicide Squad and Batman v Superman had last year. Wonder Woman, on the contrary, has been a critical and financial success, renewing interest in DC films, so is not to be surprised if the studio decides to keep this momentum going.

Neither Justice League Dark nor Batgirl have an official tittle as of today. It’s important to remember, however, that only the Batgirl solo movie has a director attached: Joss Whedon, best known for his work in Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Avengers.

On the other hand, Justice League Dark recently lost its director, Doug Liman, due to scheduling conflicts and as of right now, the movie is still looking for its director.

If this report is confirmed by Warner, it’s likely we’ll soon have more news of this two movies.

Despite everything, Cyborg, Green Lantern Corps., and Shazam are still in development and remain scheduled to arrive between 2019 and 2020 at the moment. Other movies the studio has plans to make, with an unknown date to premiere, are a still-untitled sequel to Justice League, a sequel to Man of Steel and Suicide Squad, along with The Batman and a solo feature of Black Adam, the Shazam villain, played by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

However, things can change with the outcome of Justice League, set to hit theatres November 17th, 2017.
