‘Teen Titans’ Set to Start Filming in the Fall
While DC has been criticized for some of their theatrical runs, they have been dominant on the small screen. We learned earlier this year that they would double down on that success when it was announced that DC and Warner Brothers had plans to launch their own streaming site, headlined by a live-action Teen Titans television show. That show is set to begin filming in the upcoming fall, with the streaming service slated to be released in 2018.
While not much is known about the project yet, a fast approaching shooting date should start to leak information as the fall approaches. What we do know is that Geoff Johns and Greg Berlanti will be producing, along with Akiva Goldsman and Sarah Schechter. We also know that four characters have been confirmed including Dick Grayson, Starfire, Raven, and Beast Boy.
With a NightWing film being announced by WB, it could be safe to speculate that this show will exist inside of DC’s beloved arrowverse. Which could mean characters such as Roy Harper or Wally West could make their appearance on the team. However, with Teen Titans set to film in Atlanta, the same logistical issues that may keep Black Lightning out of the arrowverse might arise. Regardless, we are excited to see the Teen Titans suited up in the near future.
Let us know what you think! Do you want to see the Titans in the arrowverse or do you want them to possibly kick start their own shared universe? Who else would you like to see join the already named Titans? Tell us what you think in the comments section below!
