Last year, Stranger Things became a hit among the streaming service, gaining more and more fans as time passed.

Season 1 of Stranger Things followed residents of a little town in Indiana named Hawkins, after the disappearance of Will Byers (Noah Schnapp), with his mother Joyce (Winona Ryder) searching for him and his friends finding a girl with telekinetic powers named Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) while searching for him.

A month after season 1 premiered, more or less, Netflix renewed Stranger Things for season 2. The first look we had at the upcoming season arrived with the Stranger Things Super Bowl trailer, which previewed new adventures and monsters for the people of Hawkins. However, the new season of Stranger Things has been shrouded in secrecy by creators and showrunners Matt and Ross Duffer, revealing very little, close to barely anything, about what’s next. But the news revealed yesterday puts us closer to season 2.

Members of the cast and crew of Stranger Things took to social media to announce that filming has wrapped. While none of the new posts reveal any details about what’s coming, they do offer a look behind the scenes of the popular series:Screen Shot 2017-06-04 at 9.34.16 AM.png

This new season will count with new additions such as Sadie Sink (Odyssey) as newcomer Max, Dacre Montgomery (Power Rangers) as her brother Billy, Sean Astin (Samwise Gamgee in The Lord of the Rings trilogy) as Joyce’s new boyfriend Bob, Paul Reiser (Mad About You) as a member of the Department of Energy, and Linnea Berthelsen (Natskygge) as the mysterious Roman.

Nothing more is known about this mysterious season 2, but maybe in San Diego Comic Con, where Netflix is scheduled to have a panel, will give us a trailer.

The season is set to premiere this October, near Halloween.
