Black Panther villain to return in Infinity Wars
Among an already stacked cast consisting of some of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s most popular and exciting characters, it’s been revealed that Black Panther villain Man-Ape will join the Avengers: Infinity War ensemble.
IMDb confirmed the addition earlier today. Winston Duke, who plays Man-Ape (otherwise known as M’Baku) will appear in Infinity War after joining Andy Serkins as Klaue and Michael B. Jordan as Killmonger in antagonistic roles when Black Panther hits theaters.
Although the character made his debut in the MCU relatively recently, T’Challa’s storyline and nation are slated to play a large role in the franchise’s already massive expanse of plots and characters.
As MCU architect Kevin Feige put it: “T’Challa’s story is very important to us as it links to the next Avengers films, which is why we brought it forward.”
Since Black Panther will be Marvel’s final release before Infinity War, connections between the two movies are not surprises. However, with new announcements such as these, it seems that the former will be a bigger player than most had anticipated.
Black Panther will come to theaters February 18, 2018, followed by Infinity War on May 4.
Seems like both works are really starting to take shape, and we can’t wait to see the finished product! Be sure to let us know what you think in the comments below.
