Kevin Conroy is back as Batman for an original story written by Bruce Timm and directed by Sam Liu (Batman: The Killing Joke) for DC’s Animated Universe. This time, Batman needs some help. Poison Ivy, in her latest scheme, plans to end “humankind” because they’ve “had their chance” Jeez, not one for second chances I guess.

However, humanity can rest assured that Harley Quinn will not stand idly by, “Friends don’t let friend’s kill seven billion people” she tells Ivy.

Though Harley Quinn is happy enough “reporting for duty” Batman is not. “God help us,” he bemoans.

Check out the trailer below:

Nevertheless, they team up. Not one to help so selflessly Harley Quinn demands that Batman “put in a good word for [her] at the parole board”.

Batman’s no-nonsense demeanour to Harley Quinn’s mischievous bad-girl-turned-good attitude will surely be an interesting relationship and it remains to be seen if Harley Quinn can indeed restrain her inner Joker to do some good.

In addition to the legendary Kevin Conroy returning as Batman, we have a newcomer: Melissa Rauch (The Big Bang Theory) as Harley Quinn. Loren Lester returns as Nightwing, and Paget Brewster plays Poison Ivy.

Did the trailer impress you? Is Melissa Rauch a good fit for Harley Quinn?

Let us know what you think.
