Author J.K. Rowling Says Script for ‘Fantastic Beasts 2’ Is Complete
J.K. Rowling, author of the Harry Potter book series and the first film which followed Newt Scamander to New York City on his quest for magical creatures in last year’s Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, has confirmed that she has completed the script for the sequel.
Rowling recently responded to a tweet from a fan, which asked if the script for the second film was already finished. The author responded with, “Yes, I have. BUT I CAN’T TELL YOU ANYTHING YET, WOMAN!” Check out the tweet below:

Eddie Redmayne will reprise his role as Newt Scamander and it was announced that Jude Law will play a young Albus Dumbledore and that the new movie would also feature the complex relationship between Scamander and Leta Lestrange, played by Zoe Kravitz.
The series was originally planned as a trilogy, but has since been expanded to five films.
Fantastic Beasts 2 is set to begin filming in July and will be directed by David Yates. Yates also filmed the first Fantastic Beasts film and the final four Harry Potter movies.
