‘Wonder Woman’ Tops Fandango Poll as Most Highly Anticipated Summer Film
With only 11 days to go before the release of Wonder Woman on the silver screen, it’s safe to say that fans are more than excited and ready to get in on the action.
In fact, movie goers were able to participate in a survey via Fandango and the Patty Jenkins directed film came out on top in a public poll that asked movie goers what film they were looking forward to seeing most between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
Fandango said it received more than 10,000 votes between April 27 and May 19 where fans chose Wonder Woman as the most anticipated summer flick.
Fellow superhero film, Spider-Man: Homecoming came in second place, while Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales came in third. Rounding out the top five were the film adaptation of Stephen King’s The Dark Tower and Christopher Nolan’s World War II epic, Dunkirk.

A separate survey of Wonder Woman fans showed that 92% of are excited to see a standalone female superhero film, 73% watched Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman in the 1970’s television series and 87% wish that Hollywood would make more female-led superhero movies.
