David Dastmalchian Says Action in Ant-Man Sequel Will Be “Mind-Blowing”
Though he joined the film after the departure of the director before him, Peyton Reed quickly made himself comfortable in the head honcho chair and brought his vision to the movie, along with $519.3 million at the box office, almost four times how much it spent to make. Now, in charge of the upcoming sequel (which begins filming this summer), Reed is once again at work and news from the set is that apparently none of us are ready for what we are about to see.
Evangeline Lilly will be portraying the second title character of Wasp and will play a major role in the movie as well as give Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) a fellow small hero to fight with. In an interview with EW, co-star David Dastmalchian says the results will blow audience’s minds:
“I can say Ant-Man and the Wasp is going to do things in the Marvel universe that they haven’t gotten an opportunity to do yet and I just got some tidbits the other day and they’re mind-blowing. It’s going to be really cool.”
Dastmalchian will also be returning to the sequel as Kurt, though it’s still unclear how much we will be seeing of him. A synopsis for the movie has yet to be revealed and the villains the heroes will facing have been kept silent as well.
