black-ish Spin-Off Gets 13 Episodes & A Title
TVLine has confirmed that the highly anticipated Black-ish spin-off has officially been ordered for 13-episodes in the upcoming TV season. The show will air on Freeform and currently has a planned early 2018 release and it’s even finally been named: college-ish.
As of right now, the synopsis of the show is that it will follow Dre and Bow’s oldest daughter Zoey (Yara Shahidi) as she goes off to college “and quickly discovers that not everything goes her way once she leaves the nest”, (think A Different World for a new generation). black-ish executive producer Kenya Barrish will also be making the jump to Freeform to serve as an EP on the show and going along with Zoey will be Charlie (Deon Cole), her father’s co-worker, who will serve as an adjunct marketing professor at her university.
Though there’s currently no word about wether Chris Parnell will be the Dean like he was on black-ish, we can be sure that other familar characters will be making appreances as they visit Zoey through her days at school.
