The CW’s Fall Schedule Still Belongs to Superheroes
In the past The CW hasn’t made major schedule changes for its core shows, however, this season a lot of fan favorites are being moved around.
The biggest change comes as Arrow will leave its longtime Wednesday spot and follow Supernatural on Thursdays. This is a risky move for the first of the network’s superhero shows, as Thursdays are the Thunderdome of TV. There’s football, The Big Bang Theory and Shondaland all on the same night.
Riverdale will now lead off Wednesdays and be followed by the Dynasty reboot.

Jane the Virgin is being shifted to Fridays at 9 pm, which is not great news for a show that has always struggled in the ratings. It’s being paired with the even more ratings challenged Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.
The CW’s entry into the military drama craze Valor will take over the Mondays at 9 pm spot from Jane the Virgin.
