Final ‘War For the Planet of the Apes’ Trailer Released
With the third chapter in the Planet of the Apes saga about to hit theaters a final trailer has been unveiled.
War for the Planet of the Apes focuses on the brutal final battle between humans and apes.
The apes are once again led by Caesar, so beautifully portrayed by Andy Serkis the words motion capture don’t even come to mind. Woody Harrelson’s Colonel leads the humans in an obsessive quest to wipe out all apes.
Caesar and his apes are forced into a deadly conflict with an army of humans led by a ruthless Colonel. After the apes suffer unimaginable losses, Caesar wrestles with his darker instincts and begins his own mythic quest to avenge his kind. As the journey finally brings them face to face, Caesar and the Colonel are pitted against each other in an epic battle that will determine the fate of both their species and the future of the planet.
The first two films in the franchise have made nearly $1.2 billion dollars, so this third film is expected to be a box office success.
War for the Planet of the Apes is directed by Matt Reeves, who will now take on The Batman.
Starring Andy Serkis, Woody Harrelson, Judy Greer, Terry Notary, Ty Olsson and Steve Zahn, War for the Planet of the Apes attacks theaters July 14.
