Dafne Keen’s Audition Video For ‘LOGAN’ Needs Your Undivided Attenton

Let’s be honest… Logan has to be one of the best Comic-book films ever made. For some that comment might be a reach but if you look at all the extremely entertaining factors, you’d agree. It’s always been difficult for movie studios and filmmakers to take a superhero property and turn it into a live action film that maintains the authenticity that fans love while still taking itself seriously. With Logan, director James Mangold managed to do just that. The film captured the gritty, animalistic, gory action a stand alone Wolverine should have all while combining elements of storytelling that tugged at our heart strings and making each character feel real. Whether it be Logan’s desire to runaway from the world to he can live his last days in peace or Charles Xavier transforming from a regal school professor and mentor to a decaying old man struggling with Alzheimer’s and being haunted by his past, the film made you not want to turn away. Of course, the one person who stole the show in the entire film was newcomer Dafne Keen who portrayed X-23. For most of the film she had no lines but interestingly enough it was difficult to take your eyes off of her.

As the release of the Blu-Ray and DVD for Logan approaches, Twentieth Century Fox has released a behind the scenes featurette that contains Keen’s audition video for the film. The tape itself shows how the up and coming star captured the hearts of the James Mangold, Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart. Check out the video below:

The video of her audition tape will be apart of the Special Features on the Logan DVD and Blu-ray release, including the film’s black and white version entitled Logan Noir. Were you impressed by Dafne Keen’s audition tape? Let us know in the comments below.

Logan will arrive on Digital HD on May 16th. The Blu-Ray and DVD will be released on May 23rd.
