Marvel really treated fans by giving us a live-action show for Luke Cage on Netflix last year. The series had a lot of powerful subject matter, relatable and real situations, and also some pretty dope characters. From Cottonmouth (RIP) to Misty Knight, Luke Cage opened up a whole different side to the MCU.

While we know Luke Cage is about to make an appearance in this summer’s Defenders, we also know that his show is set to get a second season. While we’re not sure which characters from the first season will make a comeback, we do know of at least one character that we’ll get to lay eyes on again.

Parade has confirmed with actor Theo Rossi that his character Shades will be returning to the streets of Harlem in Luke Cage season 2:

“Luke Cage is going down, [we’re in] season two. We’re pretty excited, it’ll be nice to get back into the swing.”

Shades was something of a character that worked in the shadows in the first season, so it will be interesting to see what he brings to the table this time around. We’re not exactly sure what else will be happening in the next season of this Marvel/Netflix project, but we’re here for it.
