Judge Dredd TV Show in the Works
Judge Dredd is getting another shot at a live action adaptation.
After two films, one forgettable and one underrated, the character is headed to TV.
IM Global and Rebellion are in development on the show. Things are just beginning to be worked out so there isn’t much information yet.
Judge Dredd: Mega City One will focus on Dredd and his fellow law enforcement judges, who work as judge, jury and executioner.

A driving force in making the series a reality, is the fans of the 2012 film Dredd starring Karl Urban.
“Thanks to the legions of fans who have kept up pressure on social media, and a lot of background work and enthusiasm,” read a statement from Rebellion’s Jason and Chris Kingsley. “We aim to make a big budget production that will satisfy both our vast comics audience and the even greater general screen-watching public.”
In the past Urban has said he’s open to reprising his role from the film.
“I’m amenable to being part of a legitimate and worthy followup to that film,” said Urban. “I’m open to looking at any sort of limited exploration of that and in any medium,” Urban added, saying he “wouldn’t be opposed” to a streaming series on Netflix or Amazon.
Despite the fan campaign and Urban’s statements, it’s worth noting the series will not be connected to the 2012 film.
So are you excited about another take on Judge Dredd or do you feel the character has had enough live action adaptations?
