Vixen: The Movie Released Today

Produced by Warner Bros.’ digital studio Blue Ribbon Content, Vixen: The Movie follows the title character in her heroic adventures.  The movie will feature the first two seasons from the CW Seed digital series, combining them into one consistent story.  It will also include 15 minutes of never-before-seen footage as well as a brand new featurette and two Vixen-centered episodes from Justice League Unlimited.

Vixen: The Movie stars Megalyn Echikunwoke from CSI Miami, The 4400, Damien as the voice of Vixen/Mari McCabe.  It also features several characters who will reprise their roles from ArrowThe Flash, and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.  Expect to see (or rather hear) the voices of Stephen Amell (Green Arrow), Emily Bett Rickards (Felicity Smoak), Carlos Valdes (Cisco Ramon), Katie Cassidy (Black Canary), Grant Gustin (The Flash),Victor Garber (Martin Stein) and Franz Drahmeh (Jax) collectively as Firestorm, and Brandon Routh (The Atom).

Vixen, also known as Mari McCabe, is an orphan whose parents were killed.  She is originally from Africa but moved to America after her parents’ death.  Later, she inherits her family’s Tantu Totem which grants Mari with powers and strengths of animals.  With her new powers, she aims to protect the world from evil and injustice.

Additional bonus content will include the 15 minutes of never-before-seen footage, a Vixen: Spirit Animal featurette, Bruce Timm’s (super hero animation icon) top episode picks from Justice League Unlimited: “Hunter’s Moon” and “Grudge Match.”

Vixen: The Movie is available now on Digital HD and will be released on DVD and Blu-Ray on May 23, 2017.
