Mike Colter Teases Hints About Villains in ‘The Defenders’
With The Defenders set to make their team debut on Netflix this summer, Luke Cage‘s own Mike Colter has been dropping clues about some villains in the new series.
It has remained a mystery as to exactly what ominous threat or threats the team would be facing but in an interview with TV Guide, Colter did drop some clues:
“The villains that we’re dealing with are a combination of several entities, um, and they all have something to do with our separate stories that have played out in each of our own individual series.”
He continued on to say that what was happening to all of them individually could be linked to a singular entity:
“So this has been going on for a while. It wasn’t obvious each individual series, but in this series you’ll find out that the things that happened to all of us basically were all because of one entity and that’s what’s gonna kind of tie things together and then we’ll see that, we’ll understand that, and before you know it, eventually we’ll fight together or not.”

One villain we know about for sure is Sigourney Weaver’s, Alexandra. From the latest trailer, it seems that she will be working with Elektra in some form but not much else. Will she be the singular entity that Colter is speaking about? We will just have to wait for the show to find out.
