Possible ‘Sister, Sister’ Reboot in the Works

Twin sisters, Tia and Tamera Mowry, were recently on The Real together and they discussed a potential reboot of their popular television series, Sister, Sister.

Tamera who is a host on the daytime talk show, was joined by her sister, Tia who was one of the guests. Other hosts, Adrienne Bailon, Loni Love, Jeannie Mai and guest host, Joseline Hernandez asked Tia to dish on her latest endeavours and just what could be done to get a Sister, Sister reboot to work.

Check out the clip below:

Tamera told her fellow hosts, “Everything that my sister and I have done, it’s never been easy. We always find that we have to work extra hard. We don’t know why.”

It seems that the idea has been around for some time, but it’s taking even more effort to get it off the ground.

Even Adrienne Bailon definitely liked the idea of more women of color on television and also aptly pointed out that many other shows have gotten reboots lately. She said, “They’re rebooting all the other shows, it would be nice to see a show with women of color.”

Tamera told Hollywood Life last year that she and the rest of the cast were onboard to bring back the sitcom.

Looks like even Marques Houston (aka Roger) got in on the reunion action. Doesn’t look like the sister will be yelling at him to “GO HOME!” anytime soon.

Peep Marques surprising Tia and Tamera below:

We think it would be lit! What do you think? Be sure to let us know in the comments below.

Let’s keep our fingers crossed that the reboot gets the green light soon! We’ll definitely keep you up-to-date with any new Sister, Sister developments.

Sister, Sister was part of the popular TGIF lineup on ABC in 1994 as a midseason replacement, lasting two seasons with ABC. It was picked up by The WB for its third season and remained on the network until its final episode was aired on May 23, 1999.
