CASTING RUMOR: The 100’s Michael Beach To Appear in Aquaman
Aquaman has officially begun filming, and it appears that there is a new cast member to be part of the much-anticipated DCEU film.
Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, who has been cast to play Black Manta, shared a few photos today on Twitter announcing the cast and crew’s arrival to Austalia.
In one of the photos, We Got This Covered noticed that Michael Beach, best known for his role as Pike in The 100, was posing with Aquaman director James Wan, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and some of the crew as they were welcomed by Indigenous Elders and youths in Australia.
It is now speculated that Beach might be played Black Manta’s father. Black Manta’s father “was killed by a young Arthur Curry by mistake after he and his son attacked Aquaman’s father”. While Warner Bros. has yet to confirm anything, his presence in Australia with the Aquaman cast and crew suggests that Beach may have a small role in the movie.
Aquaman is set to be released December 2018.
