Ben Affleck Gets Back in Batman Shape
There’s been a lot of talk about the upcoming movie The Batman. From director changes to script rewrites to rumors about Ben Affleck leaving the role. However, it appears that was all just talk since Affleck has reportedly begun training for his return to the Batcave.
TheWrap’s Umberto Gonzalez says an unnamed source told him Affleck has started weight training.
“Ben Affleck, Batman, I just got word that he just started training again for the role,” Gonzalez said. “You know how there was talk that he was gonna leave and he might leave the role? Nah, bro. He’s working out. He’s getting back in shape.”
Depending on the character, it can take an actor anywhere from three to six months to get in proper superhero shape. This means Affleck would be ready to jump off Gotham City rooftops in early 2018.
There is currently no release date for The Batman but Warner Bros. has an open date in July 2018 and several planned dates in 2019.
The Batman is directed by Matt Reeves and stars Ben Affleck, Jeremy Irons, J.K. Simmons and Joe Manganiello.
Affleck’s Batman will be seen next in Justice League Nov. 17.
