As production begins on Aquaman, it has been revealed that Otis Dhanji will play a 13 year old Arthur Curry, which also sheds some light on Aquaman’s plot.
The young Australian actor will be shooting over the course of six days, according to ScreenRant. The six days will be split into two sequences, a substantial one in May, and a smaller shoot in August.
Many fans have always assumed Aquaman would focus in on Curry’s Atlantean origin. Dhanji’s role confirms that there will be flashback scenes, allowing for deep exploration into Curry’s past.
Star Jason Momoa recently told GQ that his version of Aquaman struggles with feeling like an outsider, no matter where he goes. It’s likely that this will be addressed through flashbacks with Dhanji.
Though Dhanji has no film credits, he must have proved worthy of the trident.
