Production on ‘Aquaman’ to Begin This Week
Last month we learned that the release date for Aquaman had been pushed back from October 2018 to December 2018, but it’s been announced that the production for the film is set to begin this week.
The production will start at the Village Roadshow Studios in Queensland, Australia. The country has been a popular filming destination over recent years, with films such as, Thor: Ragnarok, Kong: Skull Island and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales all being shot there.
James Wan is set to direct the film about the half-Atlantean superhero, with a cast comprising of Jason Momoa, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Amber Heard, Patrick Wilson, Nicole Kidman and Temuera Morrison.
Aquaman will be the sixth movie in the DCEU, following Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Suicide Squad, Wonder Woman (in theaters June 2nd!) and Justice League.
