Attention Potterheads! If you also love the world of the Avengers, you’re in luck. According to reports by Cinema Blend, next year’s much anticipated Avengers: Infinity War may very well include one of the most iconic Harry Potter locations: Durham Castle, which all of you will recognize as Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
The story comes from a group of resourceful students over at The Tab, a university based news network that spans the US and UK. When they learned that the cathedral had been shut down for what production called a “major event” from May 4-6, they decided to scope it out.
What they discovered was a load of film equipment including green screens, rigging and construction vans, and most importantly a “Mary Lou” logo. Months ago, ScreenRant reported that the film was operating under the working title of “Mary Lou,” so fans can be fairly certain that this new development holds some weight.
Avengers: Infinity War is set to be released May 4, 2018. We’ll see if the cathedral actually makes it into the film!
