Jeff Goldblum Added to the Cast of ‘Jurassic World 2’
Original Jurassic Park and The Lost World: Jurassic Park alum, Jeff Goldblum, is joining the cast of J.A. Bayona’s Jurassic World sequel.
Goldblum will join cast members from 2015’s Jurassic World, Bryce Dallas Howard and Chris Pratt. New cast additions will include, Justice Smith, James Cromwell and Toby Jones.
Director of Jurassic World, Colin Trevorrow, is penning the script for the sequel alongside Derek Connolly.
Jurassic World is the fourth highest-grossing film in history, raking in $1.67-billion worldwide at the box office.
Not much is known about the premise of the sequel at this time, but with the latest casting news, we can only assume it’s only a matter of time before more details are released.
In the original film, Goldblum portrayed Dr. Ian Malcolm, a mathematician who was visiting the park as an insurance broker, who had one the best lines in the original film: “Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether they could, they didn’t stop to think if they should.”
You can see Jeff Goldblum next in Marvel’s Thor: Ragnarok this November 3.
We think it’s lit! But be sure to let us know what you think in the comments below.
