Release Dates Released For All Four ‘Avatar’ Sequels
It’s been eight years since we experienced the first Avatar movie and since the first film, it’s been a waiting game for a sequel of any kind.
Now, if you’ve been one of the people waiting for the next instalment to happen, you will still have to wait a little while – but, the sequel release dates have finally been confirmed!
On the Avatar Facebook page, a photo of Cameron and the crew was posted with a caption that read: Great to be working with the best team in the business! Avatar takes flight as we begin concurrent production on four sequels. The journey continues December 18, 2020, December 17, 2021, December 20, 2024 and December 19, 2025!

With the release dates taking the cast and crew into 2025, it will be interesting to see what the films have in store.
Star of the first film, Sigourney Weaver, told Variety late last year that the three scripts she’d read were, “Many more times amazing than the first one.”

Avatar is Fox’s highest-grossing film, making nearly $2.8 billion worldwide and was nominated for nine Academy Awards, taking home three.
