Fox Announces Release Dates for ‘Deadpool 2’, ‘New Mutants’ and ‘X-men: Dark Phoenix’
2018 will be a big year for X-men related films. Fox has announced the release dates for a slew of X-men Cinematic universe movies, including the sequel to Deadpool, New Mutants, and X-men: Dark Phoenix.
According to Comicbook.com, Josh Boone’s, New Mutants will be the first movie to appear in theaters, citing a release date for April 13, 2018 and will follow a new group of mutant students attending Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters. The filming is expected to begin next month in Montreal and Boston.
Next up will be the ‘Merc with a Mouth’ in Deadpool 2, slicing his way into theaters on June 1, 2018. With new director, David Leith on board, Ryan Reynolds will be reprising his role as the title character and will be rejoined by Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, with new additions, Zazie Beetz as Domino and Josh Brolin as Cable.
On November 2, 2018 X-men: Dark Phoenix will round out the group and is expected to be an adaptation of Chris Claremont’s, “Dark Phoenix Saga”. X-men: Apocalypse stars Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan and Alexandra Shipp are expected to return for this series.
