Casting Break Downs For Season 2 of ‘Luke Cage’ Reveal Two New Characters
Marvel’s hit Netflix series Luke Cage is allegedly filming it’s second season. And from recent character breakdowns that have emerged, the series seems to be gaining two new characters.
From a report seen on MCU Exchange, characters named “Byron” and “Tamara” have been named in the casting process alongside descriptions for the new roles.
Byron is described as: 30 to 45, 6’0 or taller, Jamaican, but open to Black Caribbean or African descent. The smartest man in any room, the most effortlessly powerful man in any situation. A natural leader, brimming with resentment but focused on justice. Physically fit and wildly intelligent. Speaks with a native accent from Jamaica/Caribbean/Africa, etc. SERIES REGULAR.
Tamara is described as: mid-20s – early 30s, African American, female, earthy. A brilliant, confident business owner who prides herself on her independence. As much as she tries to stay far from trouble, it seems to always find her. ACTORS MUST BE STRONG SINGERS. SERIES REGULAR.
From the report, it’s not yet clear as to whether or not these characters are already ones that exist in the Marvel Universe or have been newly created for the show.

The second season of Luke Cage is expected to hit Netflix some time in 2018.
