When we left the seven kingdoms, Cersei had killed all her enemies in a wildfire explosion and became queen when Tommen committed suicide. Thanks to Lyanna Mormont, the north rallied behind Jon Snow and named him King in the North, much to the chagrin of Littlefinger. In one of his visions, Bran discovered Jon’s true parentage. Daenerys, her allies, army and dragons were headed across the narrow sea to reclaim her throne. Arya had finally returned to Westeros and got her revenge on Walder Frey. And of course the white walkers are still headed south.
