Though it may seem like a quick turnaround, production may already be underway for the second season of Marvel’s Luke Cage.
The first season of Luke Cage was filmed under the working title “Tiara,” and MCU Exchange has identified some images of signage that suggest that season two may be doing the same. These signs were found on location in Port Washington and Yonkers, New York.
However, the best confirmation of season two activity actually comes from one of the Luke Cage stars herself, Simone Missick, who more than delivered last season as Misty Knight.
Missick’s Monday tweet read “Day 1: Back at it,” and included the hashtag “mistyknight,” suggesting that Missick is at least training for season two.
Luke Cage was the most watched Netflix show of 2016, according to ScreenRant, which could be the reason Marvel is getting a jump on season two.
Season one left viewers with several questions about Luke’s future. Luckily, we’ll be able to learn more about his story later this summer in The Defenders.
