For a long while, the planned television adaptation of Krypton before its demise had little-to-nothing besides a character list, a few casting details, a synopsis, a confirmed logo and confirmation that it’s a prequel to Man Of Steel before the show sank into the shadows and all news had seemingly disappeared.

Well, that appears to have changed as a teaser of an incredible nature has surfaced online via Vimeo, which you can check down below.

The House Of El seems to have a pretty prominent role in the series as the family crest appears mutiple times throughout the teaser.

Krypton is penned by David S. Goyer and stars Camerone Cuffe as Seg-El (Kal’s grandfather), Ian McElhinney as Val-El (Seg-El’s grandfather), Elliot Cowan as Daron Vex, Ann Ogbomo as Primus Alura Zod, Rasmus Hardiker as Kem, Wallis Day as Nyssa Vex and Aaron Pierre as Dev-Em.

From Warner Horizon Television and DC Comics, Krypton takes place years before the Superman legend we know, when the House of El was shamed and ostracized. This drama follows the Man of Steel’s grandfather as he brings hope and equality to Krypton, turning a planet in disarray into one worthy of giving birth to the greatest Super Hero ever known.

Krypton explodes onto the small screen on an unspecified date.
