I’m not sure what we did to deserve these #blessings but I just want to be the first to thank Baby Groot for all he’s done for us because I am so sure he’s got something to do with this in some way, shape or form. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 just had its early media screenings in select cities and the reactions seem to be nothing short of positive (which probably explains why James Gunn just recently announced his return to write and direct the next Guardians film).

Thanks to some interviews from ScreenRant, we have now found out…you want to make sure you’re sitting down for this. Ok, it has been confirmed that–wait, are you sitting? Make sure you’re breathing is steady. Alright, don’t say I didn’t warn you. There are FIVE post-credit scenes at the end of GotG2! That’s right, five post-credit scenes; make sure you’re good and comfy after the movie ends.

ScreenRant originally reported that there were 4 scenes after the movie but director, James Gunn, just confirmed that there is in fact five scenes on his Twitter page.

Five post-credit scenes not only sets a record for MCU movies, but is the most in any superhero movie ever! Gunn himself said that a few will be more fun and mostly for laughs while at least two of the scenes will set up future MCU movies like fans are used to seeing done. We’ve been hashtag, #blessed.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will take off in theaters May 5th!
