With production of the Tomb Raider reboot underway, a new cast member has been found in Killjoys star, Hannah John-Kamen.
The entire role John-Kamen scored is still being kept under wraps, but the report does cite that the character will be best friend to Alicia Vikander’s Lara Croft.
Tomb Raider will mark John-Kamen’s biggest film role. The actress was previously seen as a First Order Officer in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and she also has a role in the upcoming Steven Spielberg adaptation of Ernest Cline’s, Ready Player One.
With Roar Uthaug set to direct, the new Tomb Raider film will also star Daniel Wu, Dominic West and Walton Goggins.
The movie will be based off of the 2013 reboot of the popular video game series where a 21-year-old Croft doesn’t take charge over the family’s business, after the strange disappearance of her father and opts to become a bike messenger instead.
Still a student, Croft decides to investigate her father’s disappearance further and heads to the locale of where he was last seen – an island off of Japan’s coast.
