Shameik Moore to Voice Miles Morales in Animated Spider-Man Film

Sony Pictures Animation has found the voice for Miles Morales in its untitled animated Spider-Man film.

According to an exclusive report from The Hollywood Reporter, Shameik Moore, star of Dope and The Get Down will voice the young hero in the upcoming flick.

Morales who is half Black and half Latino, is the creation of Brian Michael Bendis and Sara Pichelli. The character was first featured in 2011 in the ‘Ultimate’ world of Marvel Comics.

As the Ultimate line ended in 2015, the character who has become a fan-favorite was added to Marvel’s mainstream titles, still holding the mantle of Spider-Man.

Ray Donovan star, Liev Schreiber, is also signed on to voice the villain, however the studio is being very tight-lipped about who Spidey’s enemy will be.

Be sure to let us know in the comments what you think about Shameik Moore voicing Miles.

The untitled animated Spider-Man flick will be swinging into theaters on December 21, 2018.

  1. Kinda sucks if you are Donald Glover. While I’m sure Shameik will do a fine job of voicing Miles/Ultimate Spidey, do we know what happened that they didn’t want Glover to reprise his voice work of from the animated show?
