New Mutants, a group of young, diverse individuals born with a wide breadth of different abilities who are sent on a wide variety of missions ranging from wacky to political to just normal day-to-day issues.

Josh Boone, director of The Fault In Our Stars, has confirmed the pre-production of New Mutants with two photos that he posted on Instagram.

One of a birthday cake emblazoned with the logo of the titular team:

The film has no official casting announcements, although, in the past, Boone shared a piece of conceptual artwork which showed the Game Of Thrones’ actress Maisie Williams as Wolfsbane.

The film is also expected to follow the Claremont-written Demon Bear Saga storyline which focuses on Dani Moonstar and the titular team as they battle a demonic bear, which brutally slaughtered Dani’s parents.

New Mutants is expected to battle its way into theatres on an unspecified date in 2018.
