Inhumans Will Be Mainly “In Its Own World”

Jed Whedon, showrunner for Agents Of SHIELD and writer for Doctor Horrible’s Sing Along Blog, talks about Inhumans and its role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

However, despite both shows being on the same network and Agents of SHIELD being the ones responsible for introducing the first wave of Inhumans, Jed Whedon (in an interview with Digital Spy) has seemingly confirmed that the show is mainly standalone:

Without being able to say anything really about that show, it will have its own world. Whether or not there’s a crossover, we will see.”

So, it seems as if a crossover is not in the plans but could be a potential element to explore in the future.

Marvel Studios seems to now be focusing on and releasing original content for television and streaming programs, including but not limited to: Cloak and DaggerSquirrel Girl-led New WarriorsDefenders and Punisher

This seems to be a response to Agents of SHIELD not being renewed for a fifth season and is trying to put out more quality television in hopes that it will make up for the Chloe Bennet-sized hole in our hearts if it gets cancelled.
