Rap icon Tupac Shakur’s life is getting the big screen treatment with the upcoming film All Eyez on Me.
The movie’s trailer showcases Tupac’s life from childhood, to his success, his incarceration, comeback and murder.
Newcomer Demetrius Shipp Jr. plays Tupac, The Walking Dead’s Danai Gurira is his mother Afeni Shakur, Kat Graham (The Vampire Diaries) portrays Jada Pinkett, Dominic L. Santana is Suge Knight and Jamal Woolard once again plays Notorious B.I.G. He previously portrayed Biggie in Notorious.
Lauren Cohan, Annie Ilonzeh and Hill Harper also appear in the film.
Tupac is one of the most influential artists of all time. His album All Eyez on Me has sold over 10 million copies, he’s been named the greatest MC of all time by several music magazines and is set to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on April 7.
All Eyez on Me is set for release June 16.
