New Season Of ‘Daredevil’ Starts Filming Later This Year
Marvel and Netflix is showing no signs of ending their partnership anytime soon. With the new Defenders mini series coming later this year, fans are wondering what the future holds for the Marvel/Netflix universe in the future. Daredevil leading man Charlie Cox was recently doing an interview on the podcast Film and Telly Stuff and when asked about the future of The Man Without Fear he confirmed that production on season three will begin later this year:
“I do that later in the year. We’ll go back and do that.”
The first season of Daredevil was a smash hit while season two didn’t pack as big of a punch. However, both seasons have teased the impact of villainous organization The Hand. But after the newly assembled Defenders team faces off against them once the series premieres in August, what new baddie can cause Daredevil the most trouble in a third season? While speaking with ScreenGeek, Cox expressed the villian he’d like to go head to head with:
“It’s no secret, I’ve said it before and I get in trouble every time I say it, I’d like to see Bullseye make an appearance at some point. I think it’s a really interesting opportunity. Deborah Ann Woll obviously does not want Bullseye to show up for obvious reasons. Elodie Yung, who plays Elektra, doesn’t want Bullseye to show up either.”
Comic fans know that the character of Bullseye is known to kill all the important women in Daredevil’s life, which is what Cox is referring to when he mentions Deborah Ann Woll and Elodie Yung. If Bullseye does show up, it could possibly mean the end of one of their characters in the series. Either way, Bullseye has been Daredevil’s arch nemesis for a long time and if they do decide to make him the main antagonist we’d be in for an action packed new season. Daredevil is expected to return in 2018. The Defenders premieres August 18th exclusively on Netflix.
