Marvel’s Inhumans Will Be “Unlike Anything You’ve Seen Before In Television”
ABC’s Marvel executives have high hopes for their upcoming Marvel television productions.
Mark Endemano, Senior VP and General Manager of Disney Media Distribution, has been reported to have said that the upcoming Marvel television series “is unlike anything you’ve seen before in television”. Endemano, who spoke during a showcase at the MIPDrama’s pre-LA Screenings, goes on to say that Inhumans will “bring a richness and depth of storytelling”.
The eight-episode series is a produced by Marvel Television, IMAX and ABC Studios.
Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, the Inhumans storyline was debuted in the 1965 “Fantastic Four” #45 1965. Inhumans focuses on Black Bolt (Anson Mount) and the Inhuman Royal Family. Black Bolt’s power “produces a shock wave capable of leveling cities with nothing more than his voice”. Other Inhumans include Medusa (Serinda Swan), Maximus (Iwan Rheon), Karnak (Ken Leung), Gorgon (Eme Ikwuakor), Crystal (Isabelle Cornish), Triton (Mike Moh), Auran (Sonya Balmores) and Ellen Woglom.
Its upcoming television debut has been hinted and introduced in the ABC series, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Marvel’s Inhumans will debut in U.S. IMX theaters on September 1st, and broadcasted in ABC on September 26th.
