‘Big Bang Theory’s’ Melissa Rauch to Voice Harley Quinn
DC’ latest animated movie Batman and Harley Quinn has found its Harley. The Big Bang’s Theory’s Melissa Rauch will voice the popular character.
The upcoming film follows Batman, Harley, and Nightwing as they embark on an adventure to stop Poison Ivy and Plant-Master from causing a global disaster, that no doubt involves plants.

Rauch, who plays Big Bang Theory’s Bernadette, is looking forward to playing up Harley’s comedic skills.
“I love that Harley is a badass and…that she uses her humor as another weapon in her arsenal,” said Rauch. “She knows just how to diffuse a situation with her humor, and how to incite a situation with her sarcasm. It’s a dream role.”
For Harley’s voice, Rauch will mix Bernadette’s familiar high-pitched sound with her New Jersey roots.
“I knew Harley had a higher pitched tone, and a bit of a New York accent, and I come from a New Jersey family where everyone could be former gun molls. So I wanted to give a nod to my background without being as shrill,” said Rauch. “In all honesty, I used to speak exactly like that, my acting school professors really worked the accent out of me. So it was fun to find those tones and accent again.”
Bruce Timm is directing the film, which will be the same animated style as his classic Batman: The Animated Series. For Batman and Nightwing, he has brought back that show’s well-known voices Kevin Conroy as Batman and Loren Lester as Nightwing.
Joining them will be Paget Brewster as Poison Ivy, John DiMaggio as Swamp Thing, Robin Atkin Downes and Mindy Sterling.
Though no release date has been announced the film is expected to debut on Digital HD, Blu-ray and DVD later this summer.
