Images of Jon Bernthal on the set of Netflix’s The Punisher, reveal a visibly beaten Frank Castle.

After Bernthal won over fans and critics alike for his gritty portrayal of the Punisher in  Daredevil, Netflix announced that they would be giving the anti-hero his own series.

Not much has been said about the upcoming show, but from the look of the pictures, Castle will be having just as brutal a time as he did when he was seen in Daredevil.

The Punisher is also set to star: Ben Barnes, Deborah Ann Woll, Michael Nathanson, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Daniel Webber, Paul Schulze, Jaime Ray Newman, and Amber Rose Revah.

The release date for The Punisher has not been set, however it’s expected to arrive on Netflix later this year.
