Cinema Con is well underway. All of the film industry’s biggest studios and manufacturers have gathered in Las Vegas at Caesar’s Palace to witness innovative advances in motion picture technology, special advanced screenings for highly anticipated films and presentations of a studio’s upcoming slate of films that will be released in the near future. Disney is one of those companies that gave a presentation where they revealed all of their upcoming titles for the next two years. Most of the films we already knew about but there are a few titles we weren’t aware of until now and one of them is a sequel to Disney’s smash hit Wreck It Ralph.

That’s right folks! Your favorite arcade game villain, with his massive arms and heart of gold, is getting a well deserved sequel and it will be called Ralph Breaks The Internet: Wreck It Ralph 2. It’s a long title but the name speaks for itself. Wreck It Ralph stole our hearts back in 2012 when Ralph voiced by John C. Reilly decided that he didn’t want to be a villain anymore so he escaped from his own game and set off on a journey to obtain a Medal of Honor in order to be considered a hero.

Based on the title, it seems like the characters in the sequel will be stepping outside of the arcade they call home and exploring a whole new world: The Internet. An official plot synopsis has not been revealed yet. Here’s what co-director Rich Moore had to say about the film:

To take these characters we love and have them enter the enormous world of the internet has given us so much to explore. Our production team has been hard at work designing a world that takes something we all think we know – the internet – but shows it in a whole new, imaginative way.

Co-director Phill Johnston also added:

We’re so excited to be working with Ralph, Vanellope von Schweetz, Fix-It Felix and Sergaent Calhoun again, and we have new characters we look forward to unveiling. At the center of this film, as in the first one, is the relationship between Ralph and Vanellope, two once-outcasts, who in each other, found true friendship.
