O’Shea Jackson Jr. in Negotiations to join Godzilla: King of the Monsters
According to Variety, O’Shea Jackson Jr. is in talks to star alongside Millie Bobby Brown of Stranger Things fame in the upcoming film, Godzilla: King of the Monsters film.
The young actor earned rave reviews for portraying his father, Ice Cube, in 2015’s critically acclaimed, Straight Outta Compton and was recently named one of Variety’s breakout stars at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival for his role in, Ingrid Goes West.
Jackson is currently filming for his part in the crime thriller Den of Thieves which co-stars, Gerard Butler, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and Pablo Schreiber.
Godzilla: King of the Monsters is a follow-up to 2014’s Godzilla reboot and part of Warner Bros. joint effort in Legendary’s MonsterVerse.
The only returning cast member for the sequel is Ken Watanabe, who will be joined by previously announced actors, Vera Farmiga and Kyle Chandler.
Not much is known about the film’s plot thus far, but the famed reptile will be stomping into theaters March 22, 2019.
