Sing Street’s Ian Kenny Has Been Added To The Cast of The ‘Han Solo’ Film.
Ian Kenny, an Irish actor mainly known for his work as the primary antagonist (and later protagonist) in the film Sing Street, is heading towards a galaxy far, far away as he was cast in the Han Solo prequel film.
The exact nature of Kenny’s role has not been disclosed to the general public, but he is joining the larger cast of Alden Ehrenreich (Hail Caeser!) who portrays the title character (a role previously made famous by Harrison Ford), Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones & Terminator: Genisys) in an unknown role, Donald Glover (Atlanta & Community) as Lando Calrissian, Phoebe Waller-Bridge (The Iron Lady) as the franchise’s first female droid, and Woody Harrelson (Zombieland) as Han’s mentor “Beckett”.
The movie has been revealed to explore the origins of Han Solo’s relationship with Chewbacca and how he came into possession of the Millenium Falcon.
The untitled Han Solo film, directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, is set to blast its way into theatres on May 25, 2018.
