‘Spectacular’ Chemistry Between Zazie Beetz’s Domino and Deadpool
When the sequel to last year’s hit Deadpool hits theatres, it will feature talented actress, Zazie Beetz (Atlanta) as Domino.
Since the casting was announced two weeks ago, fans have been wondering what the dynamic pairing of Ryan Reynolds and Beetz would be like. Now, we finally have a little insight.
Deadpool creator, Rob Liefeld told Comicbook.com in an interview:
“Domino is all about… as an actress and as the character that is going to be on the screen you already allude to it, it’s all about the sass. You gotta understand: you’re gonna go up against Wade Wilson, who in this movie is Ryan Reynolds.”
This is not the first time Liefeld commented on Beetz’s casting.
Shortly after the actress was officially announced as Domino, Liefeld took to social media in excitement and posted, “Welcome, Zazie Beetz, to the wonderful world of #Deadpool!! You are everything I could have hoped for!!”
When continuing on how the pair would interact with one another, Liefeld said:
“And oh my gosh, I’m not sure that Ryan’s gonna keep up with her. I think Ryan Reynolds is gonna have to work hard to keep up with Zazie. I mean, wow. You just go, ‘That chemistry is going to be spectacular.’ And that’s what it comes down to is the chemistry with these characters.”
Sounds like a winning combination!
