‘Assassin’s Creed’ Moves to TV
Video game movies have always been a tricky proposition, so the team behind Assassin’s Creed have decided to take their story to the small screen.
Following last year’s movie, which wasn’t as successful as the studio wanted, producers will hope TV works out better. The film made $240 million worldwide and currently stands at 17% on Rotten Tomatoes.

During a Reddit AMA, Aymar Azaizia, head of the franchise, said pre-production was already beginning.
“We will take our time to get sure we deliver something we are proud of,” said Azaizia.
TV makes more sense for Assassin’s Creed since the story stretches across multiple games and several different historical periods.
Producers best bet would be cable or Netflix, as the action-adventure and sci-fi/ fantasy aspects of the story wouldn’t work on broadcast networks.
