Release Date Moved Up for Kingsman: The Golden Circle

The release date of Kingsman: The Golden Circle has been moved up from October 6, 2017 to September 29, 2017.  This means that the flick will open simultaneously in the North American and United Kingdom markets.

This is the second time that the release date for the movie has been changed. It was initially due for a summer release but was moved to Ocotober when Fox rearranged its film schedule.

The film is a follow-up to 2015’s, Kingsman: The Secret Service which made $415-million worldwide. Matthew Vaughn (Kick-Ass, X-men: First Class) will return to the director’s chair for the latest Kingsman film.

According to Comic Book Resources, the film will pick up after the events of the first movie, with Eggsy (Taron Egerton) taking on the title of Galahad. After a member of the Golden Circle named Poppy (Julianne Moore) destroys their headquarters, Eggsy, Merlin (Mark Strong) and Roxy (Sophie Cookson) must travel to the United States of America to work with the Kingsman’s American counterparts: The Statesman.

New faces added to the cast who are part of the Statesmen organization include, Jeff Bridges, Halle Berry and Channing Tatum.

  1. Yes, I’m very much going to check this out! Saw the original in the theatre and I could watch it just about anytime. Not sure what it is about it (spies, campy humor, over the top action scenes) but it speaks to me. Glad to see it’s been moved up.
