Deadline is reporting additional casting for Julia Hart’s second feature film Fast Color. The film is lead by Gugu Mbatha-Raw and is an drama-thriller where Mbatha-Raw plays Ruth, a woman who has superhuman abilities and is forced to go on the run. She must return home when it becomes the only place she has left to hide. Mbatha-Raw will be joined by; Lorraine Toussaint (Orange Is The New Black), David Strathairn (Good Night, and Good Luck), Saniyya Sidney (Fences), and Christopher Denham (Billions).
“Toussaint will play Bo, Ruth’s mother. Strathairn is Ellis, her estranged father. Sidney stars as Lila, Ruth’s daughter, while Denham will portray Bill, leader of the rogue government organization determined to capture Ruth.”
The film is directed by Julia Hart (Miss Stevens), and produced by Jordon Horowitz (La La Land). Horowitz is producing under his Original Filming has begun in New Mexico.
