Netflix’s ‘A Series of Unfortunate Events’ Confirmed for Season 2

Look away, dear readers, if you are seeking a cheerful and brighter show where good things actually happen to good people.  For those who wish to continue, it is fortunate to announce that Netflix has renewed its take on Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events, giving it a second season on the streaming site.

A new trailer has been posted today announcing its renewed season along with a coded message for its viewers.  It comes from the desk of Lemony Snicket himself, announcing a miserable message in regards to the unfortunate continuation of the show.  You can watch the trailer here to decode the message and read the warning from Mr. Snicket for yourself.

This renewal announcement comes exactly two months exactly after the eight-episode season was first released onto Netflix.  The first season of the show focused on the first four books in Daniel Handler’s book series and it is safe to say the next season will continue following the miserable and unfortunate lives of the Baudelaire children.  While I’m sure Mr. Snicket would advise against watching the second season, many fans such as myself, will be eager to see what is in store for Violet, Klaus, and Sunny.
