Movies made from video games don’t have the best track record. However, fans still get excited when they hear studios are bringing their favorite games to life.

The latest entry into the genre is Square Enix’s Just Cause, starring fan favorite Jason Momoa. The film will be directed by Brad Peyton (San Andreas).

The game features Rico Rodriguez, an operative for The Agency, as he travels to dangerous countries, fights dictators and unravels conspiracies.

Momoa will play Rico in a currently unknown plot that may surround him having a crisis of conscience.

Momoa is most well-known for his roles as Khal Drogo in Game of Thrones and Ronon Dex in Stargate: Atlantis. He next appears as Arthur Curry/Aquaman in Justice League, which he will follow up with an Aquaman stand alone film.

Fresh off the news that Donnie Yen will star in a Sleeping Dogs film, this is the second major video game movie announcement in a week.
