Michael K Williams in Talks for Role in ‘Han Solo’ Film
The Wire alum Michael K. Williams is the latest high profile actor in final talks to appear in the Han Solo movie.
Though nothing is known about the possible part, Variety describes it as a “key role” in its headline.
While Williams is best known for his work on The Wire, he has recently appeared in The Night Of and Hap and Leonard.
So far the untitled film includes Alden Ehrenreich as young Han Solo, Donald Glover as young Lando Calrissian, with Thandie Newton, Emilia Clarke and Woody Harrelson in undisclosed roles.
As is the norm for Star Wars movies, nothing is known about the plot of the film except that it takes place before A New Hope and is an origin story for the galaxy’s most famous smuggler.
The untitled Han Solo film is scheduled for release in May 2018.
