Iron Fist: Finn Jones Wants A Daughters of the Dragon Series

With “Iron Fist,” March 17th marks the fifth season of Netflix shows centering around Marvel’s street-level roster of heroes. In a recent interview with Nerdist, Finn Jones, of Iron Fist, said that he’d be excited for the lineup to increase to include the Daughters of the Dragon.

“I think it would be awesome to see a television series with the Heroes for Hire and the Daughters of the Dragon working together to take down crime,” said Jones.

The Daughters of the Dragon is the name synonymous with the team up of Misty Knight and Colleen Wing. Throughout the 1970’s and 80’s, the Daughters of the Dragon often paired up with Luke Cage and Danny Rand.

Since actress Simone Missick debuted as Misty Knight in “Luke Cage” last Fall, fans have been buzzing with the the possibility that these two awesome women could get their own series. A promotional clip of Colleen Wing was released by Netflix a few weeks ago, which renewed the buzz as Colleen proved that she is absolutely a force to be reckoned with.

A recent episode of Black Girl Nerds’ Misty Knight’s Uninformed Afro focused on Misty Knight’s character, as well as Colleen Wing. Their discussion could potentially bring more light to their team ups.

With Jones’ support, along with the fans’ determination, it is possible that we could see a Daughters of the Dragon series.

It happened with “Punisher.” While a “Punisher” series was in development prior to the release of Daredevil season two, the series wasn’t officially ordered until fans began to demand a full series of Jon Bernthal’s “Punisher.” It is definitely possible for the same to happen with Daughters of the Dragon.
